Refosco dal Peduncolo rosso Riserva
This wine is the flagship of the company, obtained from Refosco grapes from the red peduncle of the best company vineyards.
The harvest is manual in crates, rather late, with a subsequent light drying of about 7/8 days. Fermentation takes place in vats of different sizes for about 10/12 days, with frequent daily punching down. The subsequent refinement, in French oak tonneau, lasts for at least 30 months, with the following six months in the bottle.
The tonality of the wine is strong and decisive, just like its flavors. It has a ruby red color, with very intense violet reflections, a strong visual impact that translates into an equally decisive taste at the moment of tasting: black cherry, blackberry and spices are the first hints, then a pleasant vanilla hint and all the tannic power that the wine has. Velvety, warm and enveloping, as well as elegant and majestic. For true Refosco lovers. The ideal is to combine it with strong, seasoned and savory dishes: game, red meats, braised meats and rustic first courses such as pasta and beans, as well as excellent cured meats and aged cheeses.
Aging wine, it will give its best with the passage of time, after at least three or four years from bottling.
